Description

I think if Sherlock were a wizard, he would be exceedingly interested in extending the boundaries of magic. More than the typical Sherlock/HP crossovers where Sherlock and Watson are young children, I would much prefer to see a mature wizarding version of our detective duo. I think Sherlock would be an accomplished spell inventor...probably responsible for majority of the tracking spells used by aurors, for instance. He might've dabbled in being an Unspeakable for a time, or perhaps make a lot of cool Magical-Muggle synthesized objects. Oh, if only I could write.....

-edit-

I do enjoy the thought of Sherlock in a magical world. I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it's because HP and SH are my two oldest and most beloved fandoms. Maybe it's because Harry Potter could use a dose of Intelligent & Sensible Adults (god, what I wouldn't give to see Mycroft stepping in after the debacle that is Fudge/Umbridge). Maybe it's because Sherlock would make a seriously kickass wizard, and just imagining all the hijinks Moriarty would get up to in the vacuum left by Voldemort makes me feel giddy (ok, not in the sadistic sense...just...y'know, interesting. You have to admit, Voldemort did not make a terribly creative villain). Mostly, I just think it'd be nice for Sherlock to be in such an interesting world. Wouldn't it be twice as difficult to get bored if you can play in two sandboxes instead of one?

:giggle: Yes. Sherlock would most definitely make a good spell inventor, or just a wizard in general. I think CB Holmes is good therapy for Snape Fans who are still sad that their hero/newly realized hero (in my case as well as for several others who weren't Snape fans from the start) is gone forever.
